What we try to do better than other sites
These are common experiences, but of course may not reflect your own experience
- We actually don't tolerate toxicity, but we still allow controversial free speech where the intent is positive. No content removals based on a mods own opinions.
- We don't make it difficult to appeal anything you think staff have done wrong, even if you're not the post author. All members can see most moderation actions.
- We don't have ANY automatic chatbots, decisions or moderation. We cannot be paid to manipulate or remove content. We do not do any shadowbanning either.
- We don't collect, exploit, or sell any of your data, nor do we have any targeted advertising. We don't claim excessive rights of your data hidden deep in the terms.
- We don't have any algorithms, we don't manipulate content, and we don't run social experiments. Everything you see is genuine content from real fellow humans.
- We don't hide any content or features behind paywalls, or otherwise make poor anti-member decisions in the name of corporate greed. Members have full access.

You cannot simply register and start, because that is how all sites become spam and toxic infested hellholes, which we refuse to become. To join, you’ll need to follow a process, but don’t worry, we don’t need your bank details or ID. It’s also FREE!
Attachments Disabled
- Cannot upload files
- Must share links to other sites
- Keeps our hosting costs low
Click for more info
We will be able to keep our hosting costs lower by disabling attachments, even though this comes with its own challenges. You just need to upload anything to another site (Imgur, YouTube, etc.) and share the link in your post.
Forum Software
- Doesn't look fancy
- May take getting used to
- Cheap, secure, and stable

Posts in a forum are shown one after the other in chronological (time) order. You have the ability to quote a post, but you can’t directly reply under it like on Facebook and Reddit. Think of a forum post like a WhatsApp group. Take a look yourself on the link below – the forum is public.
No Mobile App (Ish)
- No app in the app store
- Pages could load slower
- "PWA" app still available
Click for more info
With PWA, on most browsers, you can “install” an app to your device. Really, it’s just opening the site in your browser, but without the buttons and toolbars, so it makes it look like an app. It mostly functions the same as an app from the app store, and this includes receiving push notifications through it.
